Dear Colleagues,
the Sinergie-SIMA 2025 Conference is approaching! It will be hosted at the Department of Economics of the University of Genoa on June 12-13.
The 2025 Sinergie-SIMA Conference -Tertiarization & Sustainability New Challenges for Management in the Digital Erawill focus on a topic of great topicality and relevance: the role of services as a driver of the economy and society in the context of sustainability and digitalization .https://www.sijmsima.it/It's particularly significant that this conference is taking place in the Ligurian territory, a region that represents one of the most service-oriented regions in Italy. Its intense presence of strategic sectors ranging from transportation and logistics to health services, financial and insurance services, to tourism and advanced services, makes it a perfect backdrop for our discussions. These sectors represent a pillar of the local economy and have a significant impact on the social and national fabric.
It is with much pleasure and pride that we share with you the success so far: over 330 long and short papers have been submitted by colleagues. In addition, 11 papers were received for the PDW, which will be held on June 11 in the afternoon. With the valuable collaboration of NEXT Gen, participants will also be able to indulge in one of the many moments of SIMA Life in the evening, visiting the city of Genoa and discovering its charms during a walk and an evening cocktail/dinner. On the morning of June 12, there will be a Meet the Editor, coordinated by Prof. Annalisa Tunisini, Cattolica University of Milan, featuring journals of great relevance and impact: Sinergie Italian Journal of Management, Italian Journal of Marketing, Economia e Management (e&m), European Management Review, Strategic Management Review, Journal of International Marketing, International Marketing Review, R&D Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing. The conference keynote speakers will be Giampaolo Viglia, University of Portsmouth (UK), and University of Valle d'Aosta. Before the SIMA Members' Meeting, a “plenary” panel discussion will be coordinated by Prof. Stefano Caselli and Prof. Sandro Castaldo of Bocconi University. The Social Dinner will be held at the Palazzo del Principe, just across the street from the Department venue of the conference. On June 13 in the morning, we have a special event planned. The Management Studies Manifesto, a culmination of our collective efforts, will be presented to our entire community in a panel discussion involving representatives of the scientific academies. This is a significant moment that we are all looking forward to.
