The International Business thematic group comprises researchers and experts interested in internationalization. The group’s main activities include sharing experiences and knowledge on international business issues, creating a platform for discussion open to young researchers, professionals, and experts in the sector, developing joint projects with the special interest group of international business and international management in BAM, creating special issues in scientific journals, publishing company cases and edited books, and organizing special tracks at conferences of national and international interest.

Workshops-Conferences
- The International Business thematic group has organized a joint webinar with the SIG International Business and International Management of BAM in May 2023. A new joint webinar titled “Future research directions in IB” is scheduled for January 16, 2024.
- The group is also organizing its first workshop on February 1st and 2nd, 2024, at the Assisi campus of the University of Perugia.
- Additionally, the group is participating in the Sinergie-SIMA conference (Track International Business).

Special Track
- The International Business thematic group is organizing a special track in collaboration with the SIG International Business and International Management of BAM for the upcoming SIMA 2024 conference in Parma. The Special Track is “Perspectives on Grand Challenges in International Business and Implications for Companies”.
- The EURAM 2024 conference includes a track on Growth Strategies and Internationalization for SMEs (Track EURAM SIG Entrepreneurship) concerning the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. The conference is scheduled for June 25-28, 2024, at the University of Bath. The proponents of the track are Lara Penco, University of Genova; Michela Matarazzo, Marconi University; Giovanna Magnani, Università of Pavia; Roberto Parente, University of Salerno; and Massimiliano Vesci, University of Salerno.
