Grant Scheme BAM & SIMA 2024

Dear SIMA members,

We are pleased to announce that the British Academy of Management (BAM), in collaboration with our Italian Society of Management (SIMA), is launching the BAM & SIMA 2024 grant scheme. This marks a significant partnership between the two academies, aimed at fostering a thriving and diverse academic community, supporting high-quality, ethical, and innovative scientific research.

The BAM & SIMA grant scheme is designed to support and promote international research collaborations between management scholars in Italy and the United Kingdom. Specifically, it aims to assist in the scientific development of SIMA and BAM members who are in the early stages of their academic careers.

Applications can be submitted starting from Monday, October 30, using the dedicated portal, which can be found at the following link: https://bam.grantplatform.com. The application period will be open until Thursday, February 1, 2024. Results will be communicated to applicants by the end of July 2024, and funding will be disbursed starting from October 2024.

The maximum amount funded for the winning project is £4,000.

Senior researchers are also eligible to apply, clearly indicating their role in the research project and the development of junior researchers' skills. The project is open to all SIMA and BAM members; non-members wishing to apply can join SIMA and/or BAM. Additionally, applicants must hold a doctoral qualification at the time of application submission.
Please note that, due to the collaborative nature of the grant, which encourages cooperation between Italian and British researchers, at least one researcher must be affiliated with an Italian university, and another with an academic institution in the United Kingdom. The research project should involve fieldwork in both countries, thus facilitating a genuine collaboration among the researchers involved.
