The group is a community of over 60 scholars who promote research, teaching, dissemination and the third mission in the management of tourism and cultural and creative industries. Participation is characterized by exchange and interaction between members, who recognize, respect and enhance the intrinsic variety of the community. It is expressed in research themes and methods and in interdisciplinary approaches. Sustainability, responsibility, values, innovation, co-evolution and co-creation are at the center of the research and reflect the scope and meaning of new business and development models.
The group's initiatives have three main purposes: to consolidate identity, distinctiveness and disciplinary representativeness within the annual Sinergie-SIMA conference; promote networking among members of the thematic group and with professionals and society; develop internationalization through projects with international groups interested in the same research topics.
