The topic, which appears to be current, stimulates a set of complex, multidisciplinary and interconnected issues. What is the disruptive impact of new technologies and Big Data on the design of collaborative and open models for innovation? Is there a link between Big data, greater effectiveness of decision-making processes and innovation? How can the development of resilience in smart communities foster the continuous emergence of innovation and the achievement of social change?

To answer these questions, researchers and practitioners are invited to send their conceptual and empirical contributions to enrich the scientific debate on these questions and produce interdisciplinary advances on the topic.
