The main objective of the Strategic Communication thematic group is to gather contributions on the topic of strategic communication, which has been assuming an ever-increasing importance in the governance and success of businesses and organizations. A second objective is to strengthen the managerial dimension of corporate communication and thereby consolidate the role of strategic communication within the academic discipline of Economics and Business.
The thematic group aims to study how communication has progressively expanded its role within organizations, to the point of achieving the strategic role that has begun characterizing it. The evolution in the role of communication towards its strategic dimension is driven by two factors, both of which are conceptually significant and empirically substantiated. The first is the process of institutionalization of communication divisions within organizations which has taken place more or less since the beginning of this century; the second is the increasingly tight relationship between entrepreneurial activity (and theory) and communication practice.

The next two, on 17 February and 13 July 2023, to reflect on the themes of the special issue for Sinergie and to promote discussion and knowledge among the members of the thematic group, thus encouraging the formation of study groups and in-depth studies with a view to submitting papers for the special issue.
