BAM New Professors Programme 2024 – invitation to SIMA members

Have you or a colleague recently been promoted to Professor within the last five years? Or have you just applied for your Chair and looking into your next steps?

Registrations are now open for our online New Professors Programme, a development course that has been designed to support new Professors, and those applying for promotion to Professor, in crafting and developing their careers.

Our recently launched development programme will draw on the experience of established Professors who have chosen different professorial career pathways and opportunities. They will share their stories and will give advice and tips to help you on your journey.

These sessions also give participants the opportunity to network with fellow new Professors in multi-disciplined vocations from across the world, as well as hearing from leading scholars within the field.

Topics covered include:

developing your professorial identity and professorial job crafting;
transitioning into senior management.
research leadership and supporting and mentoring colleagues;
attracting and managing significant research funding,
These two online sessions will be held on the BAM Zoom platform on 16th April 2024 and 13th June 2024. (Timings TBC)
