INTERNATIONAL INTERSECTIONS, FOUNDED UPON A STRONG TERRITORIAL BASIS

The Annual Conference follows in the steps of the tradition of our discipline, which is characterized by an eclectic posture that embraces all the streams of management research. The juxtaposition of the different empirical and theoretical streams brings about many fecund outcomes for managerial practice and entrepreneurship, which, leveraging from their strong domestic foothold, are ever more open to the international markets.

The Annual Conference renovates the tradition of our discipline of pursuing a dialogue with local entrepreneurs, to shed a light on the diverse managerial cultures and on the methods of solving multidimensional problems. In the past year, other unprecedented problems have emerged. Firms and institutions are playing a critical supporting role for their communities during the pandemic crisis. The necessity to run essential services and guarantee the most common products has forced them to adapt and reconfigure their structures. These changes can have long-term effects on the economic environment.

The panel entitled "Firms, institutions, and communities: the role of organizations during the pandemic crisis" involves companies and institutions that have been able to respond to the challenge of the pandemic crisis with proactive strategies. The panel will be attended by managers of utilities, of a large-scale distribution group such as PAC-2000 A-CONAD Divisione Sicilia, of health-firms association such as AIOP directly involved in the battle against coronavirus, and representatives of regional institutions. The panellists will present business cases that well describe the firms’ and the institutions’ roles during the pandemic crisis.

INTERSEZIONI INTERNAZIONALI, A PARTIRE DA UN FORTE RADICAMENTO TERRITORIALE

Nell’alveo della tradizione della nostra disciplina, fortemente connotata da una impostazione eclettica, il Convegno Annuale abbraccia molteplici prospettive manageriali. Il confronto fra i differenti approcci teorici ed empirici è molto fecondo per il mondo imprenditoriale e la pratica manageriale, che sono sempre più aperti al confronto nei mercati internazionali a partire da un forte radicamento territoriale.
|
|
Il Convegno Annuale rinnova la tradizione della nostra disciplina di attivo dialogo con le realtà imprenditoriali locali, che attivi un faro sulle diverse culture manageriali e sulle metodologie di risoluzione di problemi multidimensionali. Nell’ultimo anno sono emersi nuovi problemi mai affrontati in precedenza. Imprese e istituzioni stanno svolgendo un ruolo fondamentale nel supporto della comunità di riferimento nel corso della crisi pandemica. La necessità di non bloccare i servizi essenziali e la disponibilità dei prodotti di uso più comune ha costretto gli attori dell’ambiente economico a uno straordinario sforzo di adattamento e di riconfigurazione che potrà avere effetti anche nel lungo periodo.

La tavola rotonda dal titolo “Firms, institutions and communities: the role of organizations during the pandemic crisis” coinvolge imprese e istituzioni che hanno saputo rispondere alla sfida della crisi pandemica con atteggiamento proattivo e di servizio alle comunità di riferimento. Parteciperanno alla tavola rotonda i manager di imprese di pubblica utilità, di un gruppo della grande distribuzione come PAC-2000 A-CONAD Divisione Sicilia, di una associazione di imprese sanitarie private direttamente impegnate nella battaglia contro la pandemia come AIOP, oltre a rappresentanti di istituzioni regionali. I panelist racconteranno i casi di impresa che li hanno visti protagonisti in questo periodo di crisi legato alla pandemia.
